Lake Shore Rush Presents “One Small World, Music Inspired by the African Diaspora”
Lakeshore Rush is currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season with a programmatic theme titled “One Small World,” which is both a nod to the ride at Disneyland and a unifying message of peace through understanding. The 10th Anniversary Season features seven concerts in the Chicago area, highlighting composers from each of the seven continents. On Sunday May 25th at 3PM at the Epiphany Center for the Arts, they are presenting “One Small World, Music Inspired by the African Diaspora.” Featuring works by Brian Raphael Nabors, Jessie Montgomery, Valerie Coleman, Shawn E. Okpebholo, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and Paul Simon.
