Sonic Impact
Sonic Impact is a two day festival of new music presented by New Music Chicago and hosted by the Museum of Contemporary Art. NMC member organizations and special guest performers imagine the future of musical expression in an increasingly global and technologically complex culture.

Sonic Impact examines and tests the changing roles of composer, performer and concert hall in the advent of global change and is packed with virtuoso performances you won't want to miss!

Highlights include talks with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's new composer-in-resident Mark-Anthony Turnage, interactive workstations, World Premieres and a panel presentation called Building Audiences, Commissions, and Programs for Today's Music, featuring composers and arts leaders.

Tickets for gallery shows are free! Tickets for theatre performances are $15 for the first show and only $5 for each subsequent show.

With performances running throughout the day showcasing the incredible depth and breadth of the new music community in Chicago, Sonic Impact is an event you will not want to miss!
